Description: Rin Sohma only appears only in the manga series of Fruits Basket. She is possessed by the spirit of the horse. Rin is very free spirited, and does as she pleases. She lives with Kagura, and is very secretive about what she does. Rin was rejected by her family, and all she has ever wanted was to be loved. At first, she tries to dislike Tohru but, like Hiro, unable to succeed in doing so. She also is trying to find a way to break the myserious Sohma family curse...
Love: Rin has a relationship with Hatsuharu. It is a rather tragic one at times, but nevertheless, the love is there. It all started with Haru protected Rin when she was younger in the hospital and things evolved from there. Despite the fact she broke up with him, she didn't want to. She thought it was better for him that way but he vows to get her back. Will he?
Friendship: While at first glance, it would see that Rin absolutely hates Tohru but deep down it really isn't true. Tohru is unlike everyone Rin has ever known. Her own parents couldn't even accept her, but Tohru was able to and that caused conflicting emotions for Rin. She wanted it to be true, but did she really? Will she ever open up to Tohru?
Rin has a really close relationship with Hiro. He is always very worried about her but she usually brushes him off coldly, but he doesn't seem to mind. He still worries about her in the end.
She has a rather complex relationship with Shigure. She makes it seem like she likes him in romantic ways, but Haru is the only one for her in her heart. She wants something from him, something very secretive. They are planning something major and Rin doesn't want any interference from Tohru or anyone for that matter.
