Summary: It's Valentines Day and you know what that means, tons of chocolates for Yuki! Even Kyo gets a chocolate from a girl but he responds wanting to know what day it is. Apparently, he didn't know it was Valentines Day. In a rush, he decides it is time to take a trip and runs out of school only to be greeted at the gate by Kagura. Back at Sohma house, she offers Kyo the giant heart-shaped chocolate that she got for him but he refuses saying that he doesn't like chocolates. Tohru overhears this as she brings in the chocolates she bought for everyone and apologizes to Kyo for not knowing he didn't like chocolates. Kyo eats his words as he eats Kagura's chocolate and then accepts the one from Tohru.

Time passes and exams are finally over and thanks to Yuki's help Tohru does very well. Actually, everyone does well with the exception of Hana who has to retake her exams. Tohru is confronted by the teacher leaving everyone wondering why she was called into the hallway. At work, Tohru works even harder than usual. Dead tired, Tohru makes her way home only to be greeted by the ever-lively Momiji! Kyo still can't tolerate him, and ends up making him cry several times, but why is Momiji at their house at that hour? Well, turns out he has a White Day present for Tohru-- An all expense-paid trip to a hot spring run by the Sohma family for the four of them! (Yuki and Kyo were not asked to join, it was just assumed by Momiji) Surprised, Tohru graciously accepts despite her fear of how much it would cost.

Shigure mentions that he received a call from her Grandfather earlier about her not paying her school tuition. Grandfather also said he could help out if money is an issue. Tohru assures Shigure that she will pay for it herself; it's just that money was a little tight last month. The Sohma's wonder where all her money went since she had been working extra when it dawned on them that Valentines Day chocolates aren't free. Kyo loses his temper, but amazingly controls it and instead of yelling he orders Tohru to go take a bath. Momiji then tells them the story of "The Foolish Traveler" which deals with someone who gave everything he owned away to make everyone else happy without expecting anything in return. Outside the next day, Kyo tells Tohru that he will go with them on the trip to the hot spring. Tohru is delighted! It should be an interesting trip to say the very least...!
