Episode 02 - The Sohma Curse

Summary: Shigure, deciding they can't hide it any longer, tells Tohru about the Sohma family and the zodiac curse. Whenever a member of the opposite sex hugs the cursed members or they are weak they turn into whatever their respective animal is. The change isn't permanent, they do change back but the time varies and also they are completely naked when they change back. After everyone is changed back Yuki and Shigure insult Kyo and his non-cat-like reflexes. Kyo gets angry and ends up cutting Tohru's forehead. Yuki, in retaliation, gives Kyo what he wants and beats the pulp out of him. Shigure explains to Tohru that this always happens between the two-they despise each other and not to worry about them. Shigure tells them that he has to report that the secret was told to Akito, the head of the Sohma family.

At school, Yuki gets Tohru alone in the hall and explains to her the situation-they may have to erase her memories through a type of hypnosis. Tohru understands and says that even if her memories are erased that she wants Yuki to still be her friend. Back at the main Sohma house, Akito and Shigure talk about the secret being found out and Akito ultimately decides that if this Tohru person can be trusted to keep the secret then she can keep her memories.

After school Tohru finds Kyo in her room fixing the hole that he created previously. Kyo also tries his best to apologize but is interrupted and runs off. Later, Tohru tackles the massive job of cleaning the kitchen and is successful! The next day, Shigure tells them that Akito decided that Kyo should also live with Shigure and company and that after tricking Kyo into taking an entrance exam that he would also be attending the same school. At school, Kyo causes an uproar and runs away like a scared cat. Can Kyo ever fit in at school?
